SUMMARY — THE REDUCTIONThis 1987 technique paper describes using wrist capsule flaps (capsulodesis) to stabilize scaphoid rotatory subluxation and the distal ulna after ulnar head excision.

The use of a soft tissue flap of wrist capsule in reconstructive surgery is described. Stabilization is achieved by capsulodesis for rotatory subluxation of the scaphoid, and for the distal ulna after excision of the ulnar head.
