Closing Wedge Osteotomy With Cannulated Screw Fixation in Clinodactyly: A Surgical Technique Guide.

Clinodactyly is a congenital angular deformity of the finger, most commonly involving the little finger. Although mild deformities are well tolerated, progressive angulation may result in both cosmetic and functional limitations. This article describes a modified closing wedge osteotomy technique for correction of clinodactyly, using a cannulated headless compression screw to provide stable fixation, facilitate early mobilization, and optimize outcomes. The surgical anatomy, indications, contraindications, technique, and postoperative management are discussed, along with technical pearls and potential pitfalls.
