SUMMARY — THE REDUCTIONA closed reduction technique using hyperextension, rotation, and ulnar deviation was evaluated for treating complex dorsal metacarpophalangeal (Kaplan) dislocations in 16 pediatric patients.

Complex dorsal metacarpophalangeal joint dislocation of the index finger (Kaplan dislocation) is uncommon in children. This study evaluates a closed reduction technique using hyperextension, rotation and ulnar deviation in 16 pediatric patients.
